Air Canada ramps up transatlantic flights for summer 2024
Air Canada announced new, year-round Madrid flights from Montreal beginning next May.
It is part of its expanded transatlantic summer 2024 flying schedule.
The airline plans to operate 100% of its peak summer 2019 capacity next year.
“Air Canada saw a tremendous rebound this past summer, particularly on transatlantic flights,” said Mark Galardo, Revenue and Network Planning EVP, Air Canada.
The new Montreal-Madrid flight is the only year-round service between the cities.
Air Canada’s Madrid flights will operate on 255-seat Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft with three classes.
All customers can collect and redeem points with loyalty program Aeroplan.
With 51 routes to 30 cities in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and India, Air Canada will be the leading Canadian carrier across the Atlantic next summer.
To meet leisure demand, Air Canada will expand frequencies to popular Mediterranean destinations.
Its Montreal schedule includes transatlantic flights to Athens, Copenhagen, Milan, Nice, Rome, and Venice.
From the Toronto hub there are services to Brussels, Lisbon, London, Rome, and more.
“We are expanding our flying schedule to offer customers more choice and flexibility,” Galardo added.
