Air India launching new Bengaluru route from London Gatwick
Flag carrier Air India has announced a new non-stop London flight to India’s tech hub.
Flights connecting Bengaluru and London Gatwick will launch on 18 August, 2024.
The new Bengaluru flights mark the fifth India city with direct air links to London Gatwick.
Bengaluru flights will run five times a week, taking the number of weekly flights to Gatwick to 17.
Air India’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with 18 flat beds in Business class and 238 Economy cabin seats, will be deployed.
“This new route meets the growing demand for these two important business and leisure destinations,” said Campbell Wilson, Air India chief.
Bookings for the new route are now open.
Air India currently flies to Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa, and Kochi to London Gatwick.
It also operates 31 weekly flights from London Heathrow and six from Birmingham.
