What can you buy with a dollar these days?

How about a five-star apartment for the night at Airlie Beach in tropical North Queensland?

Grand Mercure Azure Sea Apartments at Airlie Beach – the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands – has launched a midweek madness offer to encourage people to fly north for the winter and stay during the week.

Grand Mercure guests will pay just one dollar for their apartment if they choose to stay on a Wednesday night*.

The dollar dazzler offer is exclusive to guests who book a minimum five-night stay at the hotel, including a Wednesday night, and book online at www.accorhotels.com.au or by calling Accor Hotels reservations on 1300 65 65 65.

The offer is valid for bookings and stays until 30 July 2008 (subject to availability).

Two children under the age of 12 may stay free of charge when sharing a room with their parents and using existing bedding.

Perched on a hill overlooking Airlie Beach, the apartment-style Grand Mercure Azure Sea hotel boasts a combination of stylish one, two and three-bedroom apartments, all with spacious private balconies overlooking the Coral Sea.

With one of the world’s greatest natural wonders on the doorstep, the Grand Mercure Azure Sea Whitsundays features a nautical theme with curved sail roofs and azure blue glass to complement its setting. It boasts a dramatic infinity pool with waterfall, spa, fully equipped gym and tropically landscaped gardens.

Designed by interior designers and architects, Bligh Voller Nield, all apartments feature the highest level of fixtures and fittings including stone benchtops and European appliances and are perfect for holidaymakers who want to enjoy the comforts of home with the convenience of serviced apartment living.

*Terms and conditions apply. $1 rate only available on Wednesdays and in conjunction with a minimum five-night stay at the resort. Offer is strictly limited and subject to availability and change. See website for full details.
