Alaska Airlines rolls out first ever flight subscription service
Alaska Airlines has entered-the flight subscription market.
It launched Flight Pass for West Coast travel.
Starting at $49 per month, Flight Pass is the airline’s first-ever subscription-based product offering members up to 24 round-trip flights a year on routes within California and from California on certain routes in Nevada and Arizona, like Phoenix, Reno and Las Vegas.
The Flight Pass Pro starts at $199 per month and allows for booking up to 90 days in advance as well as same-day booking two hours before departure.
The $49 standard Flight Pass plan requires booking at least 14 days before travel.
Flight Pass subscribers can also earn miles on Mileage Plan elite status.
"After two years of staying close to home, guests are ready to travel again and with 100 daily flights from 16 airports throughout California and between California to Reno, Phoenix and Las Vegas, Flight Pass will take them there," said Alex Corey, managing director of business development and products for Alaska Airlines.
"Flight Pass builds on our mission to offer travelers the most West Coast destinations at the best value."
Customers can sign up and create an account at www.flightpass.alaskaair.com.
They are still required to pay taxes and airport fees on each flight.
