International aircraft leasing firm Avolon has secured a new airline customer – US-Bangla Airlines.
It inked an agreement to lease the Bangladeshi carrier two Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
These will be the first widebody aircraft leasing agreement for US Bangla.
The new aircraft will help to support US Bangla’s expansion plans on medium-haul routes.
US-Bangla Airlines could expand to Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in September 2023.
Mohammed Abdullah Al Mamun, MD, US-Bangla Airlines said: “US-Bangla Airlines has ambitious growth plans and we appreciate the support of Avolon.”
US Bangla launched in 2014 and is Bangladesh’s largest privately owned carrier.
It carries over 2.5 million passengers annually across its network.
