BA flight attendant taken off duty after boozy altercation
A British Airways flight attendant has been sent home to face the music after a drunken dispute in a luxury Maldives resort.
The flight attendant was on a layover and was joined by her daughter and a friend.
The group received complaints from other guests at Oblu Xperience Ailafushi about the noise and their behavior.
Guests complained of ‘screaming and screeching’ late into the night.
After being confronted by hotel staff, an altercation occurred, and ‘fists were flying.’
The Sun reported a source who said: “There was a lot of pushing and shoving, then fists were flying. Onlookers got involved as they tried to break it up.”
The flight attendant was kicked out of the resort and BA then ordered her to return home.
Hotel management had threatened to remove the entire crew from the resort.
The flight attendant and companions had enjoyed unlimited drinks during the evening and continued drinking late into the night in their villa.
The airline said it will fully investigate the incident.
