Thai carrier Bangkok Airways has tapped Sabre to optimise its revenue management performance.
Under the agreement Sabre will deliver the next generation revenue management solution ‘Revenue Optimizer,’ which is designed to maximize multiple revenue streams.
Bangkok Airways will be one of the first customers to adopt the programme.
"Optimizing all aspects of traditional and emerging revenue streams is a primary challenge facing carriers today," said Darren Rickey, vice president of Sabre AirVision.
"Gone are the days of focusing on revenue per seat. To be competitive, airlines must optimise all revenue sources including partnerships and ancillary products. Revenue Optimizer supports this transformation and furthermore will allow airlines to offer more personalised services."
The programme offers end-to-end control for airlines in order to respond in real time to demand and optimise pricing of seat inventory and ancillary products.
"With the implementation of Revenue Optimizer, we can better leverage customer demand across various revenue streams, including partner airlines and ancillaries, while maximizing revenue opportunities," said Peter Wiesner, advisor for network management at Bangkok Airways.
