EasyJet Holidays general manager Mandy Round is leaving the business to ‘pursue other professional opportunities’.

Her departure comes as the group appoints a new Board of Directors to ‘drive the future vision, strategy, and operation of the business’.

CEO Garry Wilson said: "I’d like to thank Mandy for all her hard work and commitment over the past eight years managing the holidays business and I along with my colleagues wish her all the best for her personal and professional future".

Joining the new Board are eight directors, six of whom have joined in the last few months and several from TUI.

Commercial director Alex Loftus previously work for TUI in a variety of senior commercial roles in the UK, Russia and France.

Communications director Fiona Jennings also worked at TUI and held roles at Amazon, Tesco and Comet.

Interim technology lead Paul Curtis was head of software delivery for easyJet back in 2008 and has also worked for Jet2 Holidays, Bourne Leisure, Qantas, Virgin Holidays and Etihad.

Finance director Michelle Heywood worked at easyJet for seven years and before that worked for TUI.

James Hardy, who joins from Jet2 where he was head of ecommerce, becomes digital director for both easyJet Holidays and easyJet.

Also on the new Board is Paul Bixby, who will join the company as strategy and sourcing director in July.

He has over 20 years of experience in the travel industry working in a number of senior finance and commercial roles at TUI, most recently director of group product and purchasing, managing the company’s strategic global hotel partnerships.

A customer director role is currently being recruited.

Joining the new Board from easyJet is legal director Rebecca Mills and marketing director Mary Newcombe.

Along with Hardy, their remits will extend across both easyJet and easyJet Holidays.
