Brand USA rolls out new agent training program for Australia
Official tourism marketing agency Brand USA today launched a new online agent training program for Australia, called the USA Discovery Program.
Australian agents get access to up-to-date travel information for the US, which can be filtered by region, experiences and themes to enable cross-selling and better promote special holiday experiences, such as fly-drive and family trips.
The flexible online course can be completed at agents’ convenience offering bite-sized exercises with quizzes in different thematic modules such as regions or experiences.
After successfully completing a set of quizzes, agents will be considered a USA specialist in that subject area and will be awarded a badge of recognition.
The eight specialist experience modules are called Big City Buzz, Coastal Escapes, Family Holidays, Food and Drink, Music/Heritage/Culture, Fly-Drive, Great Outdoors and Winter Sports.
The agent portal provides an interactive online community and forum, where agents can ask questions and interact with peers, and participate in webinars with partners direct from the USA, including video training and live Q&As.
Additional benefits include invites to exclusive events and roadshows and the chance to take part in familiarization trips to the US, such as the Brand USA Megafam.
"The USA Discovery Program is comprehensive, interactive and accessible, and we hope to enhance the breadth and depth of agents’ knowledge of the US, and the diversity of holiday options." explained Oliver Philpot, Director for Australia and New Zealand, Brand USA.
