Bus fire causes disruption at LAX

A fire destroyed two buses and damaged a third, causing travel disruption at Los Angeles Airport.
The shuttle buses were parked up and empty at the time and an investigation is continuing into the cause of the blaze.
The buses are powered by liquid propane.
The fire caused the closure of parking lots leading to disruption to airport traffic and some delays for passengers just arrived off flights.
It happened at the LAX-it lot, which is the new zone dedicated to Uber and Lyft pickups.
"Though the fire’s cause remains under investigation, there is no reason to consider it suspicious at this time," said Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
Humphrey said it took 25 fire fighters to put out the blaze.
The Saturday night fire took place just hours before the busiest travel day of the holiday season on Sunday when LAX officials expect 250,000 travelers.
