California eyes high-speed link up with Brightline’s Las Vegas rail route

Florida-based rail operator Brightline has got an initial green light to construct a rail link from Las Vegas that feeds into Los Angeles-area commuter lines. This gives Sin City an important public transportation link to Southern California, but rail bosses have even more ambitious plans.
There is hope the Las Vegas line could eventually be linked to California’s long stalled high-speed rail project from LA to San Francisco.
