Canadian budget carrier Flair Air unveils rebrand

Thursday, 15 Feb, 2019 0

Canadian budget carrier Flair Air is living up to its name with a new brand refresh.

The airline unveiled a new aircraft livery and flight attendants will begin wearing new uniforms from April, made by Canadian designers CarryCorp.

The rebranding extends to a new website design, airport signage and inflight menus.

"The bright modern design is reflective of the positive spirit we want travelers to experience," said Flair’s chief operating officer Charles McKee.

The rebrand ‘adds a little humor’ McKee said.

After beginning life as a charter operation in the early 2000s, Flair has an ultra-low-cost business model to domestic cities and warm weather destinations south of the border like Las Vegas, Orlando, and Miami.

Edmonton is its main focus city.

The carrier has added to its workforce throughout 2018 and now employs about 300 with a fleet of 10 Boeing 737 jets.

"For too long Canadians have had virtually no competitive choice between the cozy duopoly of full service airlines," said David Tait, Flair’s executive chairman.
