Carnival Australia Launches Online Booking System
Carnival Australia has unveiled an exciting new reservations tool, POLAR Online, which is designed to make agents’ lives easier by enabling them to book cruises online.
POLAR Online has just gone live to agencies throughout Australia via the company’s new agent website: www.agents-online.com.au
Carnival Australia Vice President Sales John Molinaro said travel agents simply had to register via the travel agent website to begin making bookings online for all P&O Cruises Australia, Princess Cruises and Cunard Line itineraries.
Mr Molinaro said the new service would be featured in Carnival Australia’s nationwide training series, which is presently underway.
“With POLAR Online, agents are now virtually with us in our reservations department and can create, research and modify bookings from their own desktop,” he said.
“This means improved customer service, accuracy and, of course, speed, with much less waiting time on the phone to make cruise reservations.
“It is a real-time booking engine available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and it gives agents immediate access to the best fares on offer – including a ‘search by price’ feature.”
Mr Molinaro said the opportunity to check rates and availability on cruises before making a booking would benefit both agents and their customers by dramatically speeding up the reservation process.
“POLAR Online means agents can control their client’s booking from start to finish, including researching cruise recommendations, creating and adjusting all arrangements.”
The new system is easy to learn, with online training material available as soon as agents register.
To celebrate the launch of POLAR, each time agents make a booking via the new system they will go into a draw to win one of five 10-night cruises for two on Pacific Sun. Full details available at www.agents-online.com.au
