Cellet Marketing to showcase Detroit for business meetings, events
UK based Cellet Marketing and Public Relations Limited announced a major new project to promote Detroit as a serious player in the Business Meetings and Event space,
Oxfordshire based Cellet has a well-established presence in the UK and Ireland leisure market,
Visit Detroit is now targeting the business travel community in both countries, as a destination for conferences and Mmeetings, with the help of its UK marketing and public relations agency.
The city has over 5,000 hotel rooms downtown.
Detroit’s major Convention Centre, Huntington Place, is the 16th largest in the USA with 2.4 million square feet divided between five exhibit halls, 80 meeting rooms, and eight banquet rooms.
Several of these have river views.
It has many other options, including Suburban Collection Showplace in Metro Detroit.
This convention and expo centre has an adjoining Hyatt Place hotel offering 126 rooms and nearly 100,000 square feet of meeting/banquet/ballroom spaces and 36 meeting rooms.
There is over 300,000 square feet of multipurpose event spaces.
With the award of the contract by Detroit, Cellet has hired Jordan McCluskey as the Account Manager.
He will be responsible for spearheading Visit Detroit’s Business Travel/Conference strategy in the UK and Ireland.
He will work closely with business travel planners, MICE coordinators, and airline partners such as Delta and Virgin Atlantic, to make Detroit the premier destination for business travel.
