Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has released a new travel agent training module focused on Southeast Asia.
"The in-depth specialist topics covering more than a dozen countries are vital in improving front line knowledge of a fast growing cruise market," said CLIA Australasia commercial director Brett Jardine.
"The new Asia elective covers 38 ports in 13 countries across Southeast Asia and the subcontinent with a focus on sales, service and turnaround ports to better assist agents in selling cruises in the booming region," Jardine said.
"This sort of category training is specifically designed to complement product or brand training with our research showing that agents who work towards completing both seeing superior levels of conversion in their cruise sales."
Other training modules include Oceans of Opportunity, Expanding Your Cruise Market, Cruise Dynamics 2016, Specialty Cruising and other destination focused modules, each of which represent about three hours of intensive training.
