Columbus launches ‘Buckeye Treat Trail’
Colunbus Ohio is inviting visitors to take a journey to discover its iconic candy.
What is a Buckeye? The Buckeye is a native nut in Ohio, which are typically roasted and eaten and are often used in candy and desserts among other treats.
The City of Columbus has launched the Columbus Buckeye Treat Trail.
This is a delicious adventure to discover the best Buckeye treats across the city.
The Columbus Buckeye Treat Trail features a curated list of participating local businesses.
Each offers their own unique take on the classic Buckeye.
You will find anything from traditional peanut butter fudge centers dipped in rich chocolate to exclusive ice cream sundaes where the Buckeye is the main attraction.
“At Experience Columbus, we love creating trails that give visitors a true taste of our city while promoting the amazing small businesses that call Columbus home,” said Michelle Wilson, ECI, Senior Director of Destination Services at Experience Columbus.
The trail features interactive elements, such as a digital map, a passport program, and social media challenges.
Participants on the trail can collect stamps or check-ins at participating restaurants.
The Columbus Buckeye Treat Trail is a year-round adventure that can be enjoyed any time.
