Costa Cruises teams up with STB, Changi Airport for new fly-cruise campaign
Costa Cruises has agreed another three-way marketing partnership with Singapore Tourism Board and Changi Airport Group to attract more of the fly-cruise market.
The new three-year agreement will aim to leverage Singapore’s cruise and air hub status to attract more international cruisers to explore Southeast Asia by sea.
Joint marketing initiatives will roll out across Costa’s core markets and is targeting about 100,000 fly-cruise passengers through Singapore over the next three years.
"We are thrilled to strengthen the opportunity to further develop such an exotic destination like Singapore, where Costa has a longstanding presence and which offer a big potential for the cruise holiday market," said Neil Palomba, President of Costa Cruises.
The line has been serving Asia since 2006 and has nearly a quarter of its 14-ship fleet based in Asia.
The 3,470-passenger Costa Fortuna will be homeported in Singapore from mid-Nov. 2018.
"STB is delighted to enter into another partnership with Costa Cruises and Changi Airport Group. Costa Cruises is a valued partner that has homeported out of Singapore for over 10 years. This latest collaboration will leverage Costa’s strong brand in key long-haul markets in Europe," said Yap Chin Siang, STB’s assistant chief executive, policy & planning group.
Changi Airport Group’s managing director for air hub development, Lim Ching Kiat said: "We are excited to enter a second tripartite partnership with Costa Cruises and Singapore Tourism Board, as this will provide greater opportunity to grow the fly-cruise segment."
