Costa develops white label website option
Costa Cruises is to enable agents to book its itineraries through their own websites
The Italian line has developed a white label version of its website for agents to integrate into their own internet sites.
The white label option allows agents to have customers book directly through their websites without having to contact the agency by telephone.
The technology is being tested by cruise specialist Cumbria Cruise Club. It has also been trialled in other European countries including Italy.
The technology, which will be ready for full UK launch soon, links back into Costa’s central booking system so that inventory is automatically updated.
Once the web affiliation is up and running agents will be able to go to a designated section of Costa’s existing online booking system www.costaclick.co.uk to request the white labelling to be activated for their agency.
The line’s UK managing director Marco Rosa said: “The technology is fast and easy-to-use and will save agents’ valuable time as well as giving them an additional way to book a Costa cruise.”
Costa Cruises has been showcasing the white label technology at a series of ship visits in Dover.
