Cracked window forces diversion of ANA flight
An All Nippon Airways flight had to return back to Sapporo New Chitose Airport after discovering a crack in the cockpit window.
The domestic ANA flight was travelling to Toyama.
The Boeing 737 window’s outer layer suffered a crack but the crew were able to turn the plane around and land safely.
“The crack was not something that affected the flight’s control or pressurisation,” an ANA spokesperson said.
The 59 passengers on board were transferred to alternative flights in Sapporo.
