Cruise guests arrested for credit card fraud
A group of four cruise ship guests have been arrested for suspected credit card fraud offenses during a recent cruise out of Miami.
They were arrested when disembarking at Port Miami.
Michael Emmanuel, Tyrisha Delgado, Quentin Tuck and Devin Jones are charged with conspiring to defraud, grand theft, and fraudulent use of credit cards.
Three of them are also facing identity theft charges.
They are accused of using three different bogus credit cards to attempt to fraudulently get ‘large cash advances of money on board” at the casino on the MSC Magnifica.
All three cards were declined due to fraud concerns.
Ship security then contacted U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers to investigate.
After more detailed checks, they found the group’s cruise booking was made fraudulently.
The suspects were on a four-day cruise with calls at MSC Cruises’ private island, Ocean Cay and Nassau.
After arriving back at PortMiami they were arrested, booked and posted bond.
