Cruise Nation sets up homeworking division
Cruise Nation has set up a homeworking division and is looking to hire 30 full and part time staff.
Homeworkers will work alongside its existing 50 call centre staff and will be encouraged to generate sales in their own local areas.
They will be able to choose from two homeworking packages – Cruise Nation Lite, which is on a commission basis with a joining fee, and Cruise Nation Plus, offering a salary as well as commission.
It will be headed up by Michelle Martin, who was appointed head of sales in October.
She was previously head of the homeworking division at Hays Travel where she managed 200 homeworkers.
Cruise Nation moved to a larger office space earlier this year to accommodate its growing team.
These include a new separate team of three who are dedicated to excursions and transfers.
Cruise Nation has also signed with new partners, including Cruise & Maritime Voyages, Cruising Excursions and Do Something Different for shore excursions, and Holiday Taxis for transfers.
Next month, it will begin working with Wendy Wu Tours for on-the-ground support for cruise ships arriving into Asia.
Plans for 2017 include a walk-in interactive cruise store at its new offices in Swansea and a dedicated online TV channel.
