Cruise passenger arrested for ‘lewd’ act on minor

A cruise ship passenger has been arrested over allegations of sexual abuse against a child on a cruise ship.
Sergey Asanov, 64, was arrested following an incident of ‘horseplay’ with a young boy.
Asanov is a Russian national resident in Miami.
He is accused of pulling down a 6-year-old boy’s swimsuit twice aboard the MSC Cruises’ ship Seascape.
The incident was caught on CCTV, according to the Miami-Dade Police arrest report.
The report said there was ‘horseplay’ between Asanov and the boy in a jacuzzi.
Asanov ‘forcefully’ removed the boy’s swimming trunks, it said.
The report didn’t mention if the two were already known to each other.
A Judge found probable cause for charges and Asanov was released on bond.
He faces two counts of lewd and lascivious conduct on a child under 16 and one count of child abuse.
