Cunard showcases new Queen Anne dining experience

Cunard has given an exclusive sneak peek of Queen Anne’s new Indian-themed restaurant, Aranya.

The dining experience was held in The Verandah onboard Queen Victoria in Southampton, giving VIP guests a sampling of the Aranya concept.

The three-course meal was delivered by highly acclaimed Indian chef Surjan Singh who has helped develop the Aranya menu.

He held senior positions at the Taj Palace New Delhi, the Goa Marriott Resort, the JW Marriott Mumbai, and London Marriott West India Quay Hotel.

He also had stints on MasterChef India and MasterChef Junior, India.

Aranya is a new culinary concept for Cunard.

The aim is to showcase flavours of the Indian subcontinent.

It will present playful interpretations of classic Indian cuisine, with something new each evening.

Aranya is one of four additional dining experiences that will be available on Queen Anne – alongside Aji Wa, Sir Samuels, and Tramonto.

The evening-only dining venue will be available to guests as a supplement, complementing the inclusive options offered for lunch or dinner on the ship.

Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, said: “We were absolutely thrilled to share what’s to come with Aranya, which will be one of the most exciting dining venues aboard our newest ship.”

“We’re delighted to be introducing more venues that reflect the vibrancy and varied cultural tastes of our guests.”

Surjan Singh Aranya Development Chef, added: “Aranya is not just a restaurant, it is a multi-sensory culinary experience with authenticity and quality at its heart.”
