Cunard to visit over 250 agents in biggest ever sales blitz

Cunard plans to visit more than 250 travel agents at 70 stores nationwide, as part of its most comprehensive ever sales blitz.

A seven-strong team will tour UK high streets during CLIA Cruise Week (16-20 September) for in-person news on the launch of its winter 2027 programme.

The trade roadshow will also include visits to three travel agent head offices – Fred Olsen Travel in Ipswich, Panache in Chorley, and Travel Village in Chorley – allowing the team to speak to more agents than ever.

As well as product updates, there will be Shine reward points to give away.

The week-long initiative will also be an opportunity for Cunard to share details of its new ‘Pay As You Earn’ concept on Shine Rewards Club.

Pay As You Earn allows agents to continuously pay Shine points towards their own Cunard voyage.

Benefits include being able to book any voyage currently on sale; being able to book multiple voyages; and being able to earn more shine points via a personal booking.

Currently, agents can only book using their points at the time of booking.

Tom Mahoney, Director of UK Sales at Cunard, said: “We are as committed as ever to supporting our travel agents. These visits are a brilliant opportunity for the Cunard team to learn more about the issues impacting our travel agent partners.”

The cruise line has also launched a ‘New to Cunard’ area on Shine Rewards Club to support agents who are learning about the brand or would like a refresher.

The content covers information on fare types and global destinations as well as example drinks menus, restaurant menus and onboard entertainment.
