CWT wins back account from Rosenbluth
Carlson Wagonlit Travel has won back a major IT business travel account from rival Rosenbluth.
CWT has captured the account of consulting and information technology company CSC in a three-year deal worth $30 million.
The agreement covers 13 countries in Europe, including the UK, with the potential to extend to Spain and South Africa.
CWT originally lost the account to Rosenbluth two years ago.
California-based CSC employs 90,000 staff worldwide and claims annual revenues of $13.8 billion.
The company’s EMEA corporate travel manager Deborah Major said one of the key benefits of working with CWT was its range of added value services.
She said: “It is evident that CWT is making the best use of technology to enhance its service offering as well as reduce costs. CWT’s focus on technology and managing the ‘cost control’ aspect of business are both essential areas for us.”
Pauline Snider, CWT’s North Europe account management director, said: “We are delighted to be working with CSC again. Business ravel management today is very much about adding value and providing a top quality service. It is far removed from a ‘travel booking operation’.”
