Danielle Lloyd latest celeb to launch Inteletravel recruitment drive
Model and TV personality Danielle Lloyd has become the latest celebrity to launch a social media recruitment drive for homeworking agency Inteletravel.
Posting on her new Instagram account, JetsetwithDanielleLloyd, the former Miss Great Britain encourages her followers to sign up to Inteletravel to earn commission on their own holidays.
Danielle claims in a series of posts that the reason she can travel as much as she does is that she’s earning commission on every booking working as an Inteletravel agent – and she urges others to join.
In one post she says agents earn 8% or 16% on bookings they make, before adding: "Let me show you how".
In another she says: "The travel boom is coming, don’t wait until it’s here and miss out on all those booking opportunities."
She also says Inteletravel holidays are ‘ATOL protected and ABTA approved’. Inteletravel is an ABTA member but it doesn’t have its own ATOL licence. Inteletravel said it would be contacting Danielle to make sure she made this clear in her communications.
Danielle tells the 700-plus followers of her travel Instagram account launched last November they can use the lockdown to ‘create a side income & financial freedom’.
In her latest post, there’s a photo of a hand holding an (Aeroflot) Champagne flute to a plane window. She wrote: "Travel restrictions are set to lift in the next couple of months. Get ready to start earning as soon as they do."
Inteletravel has repeatedly claimed that its agents aren’t incentivised to recruit other agents in response to accusations that it makes the bulk of its money from sign up fees rather than commission. New agents pay a joining fee of £142 and there’s a monthly fee on top of £32 for access to commercial rates, booking technology and back office support.
Inteletravel says recruitment is handled by an independent contractor which acts as a recruitment partner. "Given the attractions of the travel industry some individual choose to become members of the recruitment company and also sell travel services; we will be re-enforcing the separation of the business to Danielle," it said.
The homeworking agency, which was founded in the US before expanding to the UK, claimed in September that its UK business had boomed during the pandemic.
It said it was ‘delighted’ that Danielle had chosen to join Inteletravel and ‘use her influence to drive sales’.
TOWIE star Mario Falcone also recruits Inteletravel agents on his Instagram account, MarioFalconeTravel, which has more than 27,000 followers.
