Date set for next Travel Industry Question Time
The next Travelmole Travel Industry Question Time will take place in central London on April 19 and will tackle the question: Corporate Social Responsibility – what does it mean for your business?
ITM executive director Paul Tilstone has been confirmed as a panelist for the event, which will be held at the Hilton London Tower Bridge from 4.30-6.30pm.
At ITM, Tilstone has worked as part of the advisory board for
Project ICARUS, the association’s targeted project to educate and
debate key issues in CSR.
As part of this project, ITM launched its Carbon Reduction Toolkit at its annual conference in March. Details can be found at www.itm.org.uk/icarus
Tilstone will be one of a number of top speakers who will lead a debate on the following issues:
*Is CSR vital for your future long-term success, or simply a passing phase?
*Is it just about marketing or something that will become an essential part of corporate life?
*Apart from helping to protect the enviornment, what else should your company be doing to demonstrate CSR?
*How do you cost the impact of your carbon tootprint? Should it be mandated policy from government?
*What is the real value of carbon offsetting?
*Do taxes work as an effective deterrent to reduce travel and CO2 emissions?
*Is your CSR auditable?
For more details on the event, watch out for further updates on Travelmole.
