Travellers urged to download new vaccination paper certificates for EU travel

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is warning travellers heading to EU destinations their current paper vaccine certificates may no longer be valid.
Holidaymakers who downloaded or printed it out before 1 November could face being denied boarding. This is because of a compatibility issue with the QR codes before the UK recently joined the system.
The FCDO has advised travellers to print out a new copy. After a delay of several months, NHS vaccine verification is now compatible across the EU bloc. It is also recognised in several other countries.

A point to remember is that the downloaded and printed certificate has a one month only validity ("to protect your data"!) whilst the certificate printed by NHS and sent by post does not have a printed expiry date.
