Divisions between EU leaders over vaccine passports
After two days of discussions, the EU’s 27 countries have yet to reach a consensus on a single vaccine passport scheme. Countries including Greece want an EU-wide vaccine certificate but Germany is sceptical it would be effective.
Meanwhile, France and Belgium are more concerned a vaccine certificate would discriminate against those that have not been inoculated. Although no agreement has been reached, they all acknowledge a vaccine passport will likley be critical to restart business and tourism.
