Dolphin Dynamics opens Australian office in response to strong sales growth

London, 19th February 2014. London-based technology supplier Dolphin Dynamics has opened an office in Sydney to accelerate its international expansion following a number of new customer acquisitions in Australia, including a wide range of leisure and corporate travel agencies, tour operators as well as specialist rewards and incentives companies.

Following a strategic partnership with Amadeus in Australia and New Zealand announced in February last year, a number of new Dolphin clients have been secured including Sean Simmons Travel, Platinum Travel Corporation and Snowcapped Tours. With another large client to be rolled-out and several prospects in the pipeline for early 2014.

The Dolphin Dynamics office in Sydney is staffed by project management and technical staff who have relocated from the UK to Australia and further positions are due to be filled by local candidates. Simon Wakeford, the company’s Head of Strategic Initiatives, has also been seconded to the office for three months to establish Dolphin’s presence in the market and to provide additional support for on-going customer projects.

This is the second international office established by Dolphin Dynamics in the past year, following the opening of its Regional Development Centre in Cairo last March to increase software development capacity.

Commenting on the rationale for establishing the new Sydney office, Simon Wakeford said, "We have been delighted with the response of the Australasian travel industry to our marketing activities with Amadeus in the region. To ensure our rapidly growing customer base in this market receives the best possible service, we feel it is important to have a skilled local presence so we can directly assist Amadeus in successfully rolling-out and supporting Dolphin."
