Asia based DMC, DTH Travel is introducing an exclusive slow travel option: The Blue Jasmine, a nine-day luxury train journey through Thailand aboard a vintage train.

This brand new experience is set to launch its maiden voyage on 16 November 2025.

The distinctive blue locomotive was gifted by the Japanese government to the State Railway Company of Thailand, and is the only train of its kind.

DTH Travel has exclusivity on the product.

The itinerary begins in Bangkok and calls at Ayutthaya, Uthai Thani, Sukhothai, and Chiang Mai.

Guests enjoy full facilities and land experiences, including accommodation in boutique and heritage properties.

The rail tour offers dining in unique locations, from villas, river dining cruises and farm-to-table restaurants.

Excursions include an exclusive picnic on a Chiang Mai mountain peak overlooking Myanmar.

The Thailand train accommodates up to 37 guests in classic and premium carriages, with customisable arrangements for connecting rooms and single supplements.

Each carriage is serviced by a dedicated butler.

Guests can relax in carriages designed for dining and socialising, including a bar wagon for cocktails.

“The Blue Jasmine’ Thailand train tour is incredibly unique, we are the only DMC in Asia to be delivering an experience of this kind,” said Stefan Bruns, General Manager DTH Travel Thailand.

“As a business, we continue to develop new tours driven by sustainability, authenticity and community engagement.”

To support operators and agents, DTH Travel offers a toolkit of marketing materials, detailed itineraries, and training sessions.
