E-Travel Ireland signs up for Aurium’s En Route solution
E-Travel Ireland, a provider of online travel technology, has signed a deal with Dublin based Aurium, the ‘context’ travel itinerary management specialist for its software solution En Route.
En Route aids global airlines, travel operators and central reservation systems generate revenue and customer service opportunities based on a consumer’s ‘context’ ie. not only the consumer’s location, but their situation and circumstances. E-Travel say that by linking CRM, database and booking systems, they provide services automatically to a mobile consumer in real time.
Using En Route, E-Travel says its customers need only specify time and location for a meeting when filling out a travel itinerary. The booking system will be able to automatically book travel and hotels in adherence to predefined personal or corporate preferences. If the consumer is delayed or misses a flight, the system will automatically reschedule and advise the consumer as well as airline, hotel, P.A. etc directly by SMS, email or phone.
En Route is designed to reduce 24-hour operator and call centre resources; provide automatic itinerary handling due to unpredictable events (eg delays or missed flights); arrange automatic rebooking based on preferences (eg category of travel, carrier); boost staff efficiency
(eg less inbound calls) and provide reports and recommendations to help manage and reduce travel costs.
E-Travel’s managing director David O’Grady said: “The travel industry is constantly seeking more sophisticated technology solutions to improve customer service. Aurium delivers a much needed solution, unmatched in today’s marketplace, which enhances the customer experience and better serves their needs.”
Aurium was founded by Dr Simon Dobson, Richard Greenane and Prof Paddy Nixon. Dr Dobson is a former assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science of Trinity College Dublin. Mr Greenane was formerly with the Department’s Computer Vision and Robotics Group. Prof Nixon holds a chair of Computer Science at the University of Strathclyde.
