Etihad appoints US general manager

Gulf carrier Etihad Airways has appointed Craig Thomas as its first ever general manager for the US market.
He will oversee all commercial functions for Etihad and deepen relationships with US based travel trade partners.
Thomas moves to Etihad’s New York office from Toronto where he served as general manager for Canada.
He has held several regional management posts with Etihad since joining the airline in 2005, including regional general manager – Asia Pacific North and the Indian Subcontinent, and regional manager for Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
Prior to this he worked in airport operations at Virgin Atlantic and as a corporate travel manager at De Beers.
