Fairmont Singapore and Swissotel The Stamford are adopting new touchless tech to keep guests safe and healthy as tourism gradually comes back to life.
It is rolling out a contactless check-in and check-out solution via the web or on their mobile device using QR code verification.
Guests can also customise their stay with a variety of different hotel offerings and make payment online for them, to minimise face-to-face interaction.
"We are confident in the long-term future of the hospitality industry, and are ready to welcome our guests back with solutions that address what matters most to them now – their safety and well-being," said Marcus Hanna, GM of Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford.
The hotels are also working on other contactless innovations such as offering payment at the table, and all hotel and concierge information relayed digitally to a guest’s device.
In the future the hotels may discontinue all printed information and make it available digitally only, in keeping with a goal to become more sustainable.
"Our hotels have always embraced a keen spirit towards innovation. We are progressively on the lookout for new technologies that can improve or redefine business operations. In the new normal, it is even more imperative to do so to stay relevant to our customers’ priorities and needs," said Ahmed Disokey, area director of information technology and business innovation.
