FAREBASE FLIGHTSEEKER BENEFITS AGENTS
BOOKING NO FRILLS AIRLINES

Farebase have received very positive feedback from agents following the introduction of its new Flightseeker facility at the beginning of May this year.

The Portal had previously enabled agents to search and book schedule, consolidated, late availability and charter flights. At the same time agents also have the opportunity to link to a range of other bookable travel web sites including, hotels, car hire, ferries, travel insurance and holiday add-ons. Agents are also provided with links to useful travel information sites such as weather, currency and destination guides.

The addition of the flightseeker facility now allows agent subscribers to also search fares from the no frills airlines, encompassing, Bmibaby, Ryanair, Virgin Express, EasyJet, Mytravel Lite, AirBerlin, Hapag-Lloyd Express Basiq Air and German Wings. An optional feature is available which will also search British Airways and Aer Lingus.

Farebase Managing Director, Jon Constantine, elaborated, “Agents are realistic and only too aware that they need to access these fares from the no frills airlines. They also realise that they need to find the quickest and most cost effective way to access this data for the success of their businesses. This facility gives them all the information they need on one screen from a single search in less than 20 seconds – this gives them a fighting chance of making a profit on the transaction”!

Adrian Jones, Senior Travel Consultant with Global Flight Centre, said, “This new addition to the Farebase Portal is excellent and has been backed with really good customer service. I can now search an even wider range of airline fares from my screen and this saves a tremendous amount of time and therefore of course money.
I can offer my client an even better service and is also very good for business”.

This additional service is provided completely free of charge to the Farebase subscribers.

Farebase Managing Director, Jon Constantine, concluded; “It has always been our philosophy to offer agents a ‘superstore’ where they can quickly and conveniently seek and select for the best travel products for their clients. The combination of the agent’s professional travel knowledge and first-class technology tools and information will ensure that the travel agent is able to operate profitably in today’s highly competitive marketplace”.

Agents can access the Farebase portal on www.farebase.co.uk.
