Dartford based, Farebase.co.uk has launched the latest version of its Travel Agents Web Portal which has been re-designed to include a number of new features. These new features will provide significant additional information for travel agents and should make the site even more attractive and easy to use.

Farebase have added its own unique web search engine which has been specially designed for the U.K. travel trade. Agents are able to access the Portal and can then easily utilise the web sites of hundreds of travel specific web sites. These have been categorised into groups including: airlines, accommodation, car hire, ferries, coaches, tour operators, destination guides, weather and many others. The agent is quickly able to locate any sites of interest and can search by company name, category or even keywords.

Managing Director, Jon Constantine said “The Farebase Portal will offer agents a unique opportunity to gather all the information they might need for any transaction from a single site. We have carefully researched the requirements of agents and have responded to their needs and requests with this new source of travel information”. He went on to add “The agent needs to have the information at his finger tips as quickly as possible in order to be able to offer the best possible service and added value to his/her customer.”

In order to further assist agents with any queries or support issues, Farebase have also integrated the ‘Live Person’ software into the site. Agents can then simply click on a button which opens a window and allows them to chat on-line ‘live’ with one of the Farebase Customer Support Team who can ‘see’ which part of the site the agent is currently viewing and can offer suggestions and advice.

Jon Constantine went on to add “It has always been our philosophy to make the portal a true travel community and we believe these new additions will offer agents additional resources to help them to provide their customers with a first class-service quickly and cost effectively.”
