Feds handcuff, interrogate Delta pilot in botched FBI training exercise
A botched FBI raid led to an uncomfortable night for a bemused Delta Air Lines pilot.
FBI and other federal agents raided the pilot’s hotel room in a training exercise.
They handcuffed him and interrogated him for nearly an hour.
At that point they realized they had raided the wrong hotel room.
They apologized for the snafu.
It happened late at night at the Revere Hotel in Boston
The agents were apparently conducting a training operation with a mock interrogation.
“Based on inaccurate information, they were mistakenly sent to the wrong room and detained an individual, not the intended role player,” the FBI Boston office said.
“Thankfully nobody was injured. The Boston Police Department was called and responded to the scene to confirm that this was indeed a training exercise.”
