First Choice recruits Love Island stars for social media campaign
Love Island stars Chris and Kem have been recruited for a social media campaign by First Choice.
Calling them ‘braggage handlers’, the all-inclusive operator has sent them to a resort in Mexico where they will apparently show the nation how to ‘brag about their holiday with flair’.
Jeremy Ellis, marketing and customer experience director, said: "Given how much we love social media, it’s really interesting to hear British holiday makers are challenged when it comes to creating imaginative posts. Chris and Kem are the perfect pair to inspire people to get the absolute mahoosive most from a jam packed all-inclusive holiday, embrace new things, and become the masters of their holidays."
Kem added: "It’s not about posting the same pictures as everyone else.~ I don’t want to see another picture of what someone’s having for breakfast by the pool. It’s all about being adventurous and showing people how much fun your having, you can have a little brag without annoying your mates at home, me and Chris do it all the time."
Research by First Choice found six in 10 Brits get annoyed by their friends’ ‘shallow brags’ on social media, with one in five deleting, hiding or unfollowing friends who have bragged with a boring holiday ‘boast post’.
But 80% admitted to falling into the same trap sharing dull holiday photos, posting posey ‘hot dog legs’ or mimicking friends’ rather than coming up with original ideas.
