First Hotel Week London campaign to drive hotel recovery
A new initiative aimed at promoting and supporting the re-opening of London’s best hotels will take place next month.
With hotels expected to resume operations from 17 May onwards, the inaugural Hotel Week London will serve as a platform to showcase London hotels from all corners of the capital.
Hotel Week London will take place from 28 May to 6 June 2021.
All featured hotels will offer discounted rates and value-added packages with the aim of luring Londoners and British travellers on capital staycations to explore London once again.
Guests will be able to book to stay at any time during this week to redeem exclusive offers and rates, and bookings can be made from 12 April 2021.
Packages have been tailor-made for the campaign but many will be extended until the end of June, allowing for multiple stays and longer booking opportunities.
Many of the exclusive offers are only available at the dedicated Hotel Week London website.
Participating properties include luxury hotels such as DUKES London in St James’, the Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill in Portman Square, the Corinthia and the Dorchester, as well as more affordable options, including The Tower Hotel, The Standard, Ruby Lucy Hotel and Mama Shelter London Shoreditch.
Each of the 35 participating hotels has designed its own experience or added value activity, ranging from pizza-making classes, transfers by vintage car from London stations, to room upgrades, Michelin-starred dining and cocktail classes.
Hotel Week London has been created by integrated marketing company MMGY Global.
"As the hotel sector reopens there is a unique window for domestic travellers to experience the city without the normal influx of international visitors and offering the opportunity to support London hotels that have been particularly affected over the last 12 months," said Jonathan Sloan, MMGY Global.
The PR and marketing campaign is being run by MMGY Global’s London based agencies, MMGY Grifco, MMGY Digital Spring and MMGY Hills Balfour.
To support the London hotel sector, all hotels have been offered completely free access to the promotion.
