Fort Lauderdale: more pre-post cruise stays
Greater Fort Lauderdale and Port Everglades are launching an escaladed marketing push to encourage pre- and post- cruise stays.
The marketing campaign includes the wall art hangings and a new brochure of the station, showcasing the destination’s attractions and activities in Terminal 2 at Port Everglades.
Terminal 2 is used by Princess Cruises and the 3,100-passenger Caribbean Princess, the largest ship to operate year-round from Port Everglades. As the world’s third busiest cruise port, Port Everglades serves over three million cruise travelers every year.
The new campaign will promote shopping at malls such as Sawgrass Mills, Florida’s largest retail and entertainment center; Galleria Mall closer to the port; and the trendy boutiques along Las Olas Boulevard.
Also to be promoted are countless restaurants, Latin dance classes at Gold Coast Ballroom and open-water scuba certification courses at Pro Dive USA near Port Everglades. Greater Fort Lauderdale has 23 miles of Blue Wave-certified beaches which recognizes the beaches’ cleanliness.
Greater Fort Lauderdale is home to more than 60 championship golf courses, three casino cruise operators, a recently renovated horse racing venue and three Seminole Indian casinos.
Area spas include Elizabeth Arden Red Door Lifestyle Spa at the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure, The St. Regis Spa, The Spa at Harbor Beach Marriott, Spa Atlantic at The Atlantic Resort and Spa, The Contour Day Spa at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, and The Spa at The Diplomat.
