Forthcoming ANTOR eMarketing Seminar Update

Wednesday, 31 Jul, 2006 0

There is no doubt that the internet has been one of the most significant changes in our lives today, but nowhere more so than in travel.

This is evidenced by many organisations appointing internet specialists to assist with their marketing and an excellent example is upcoming 8 August ANTOR evening Seminar speaker and presenter, Caroline Brunel.

Caroline was appointed E-Marketing and Internet Manager for Tourism Ireland in Australia in September 2005 and previously worked for Tourism Ireland in France for six years as a communications and e-marketing executive for Southern Europe.

She has a degree in Communications from the Institut Francais de Presse, Paris and has just completed her Master II in Information Systems Masters and E-Marketing from the Jules Verne University in Amiens, France.

Since joining Tourism Ireland, Caroline has put in place an innovative and comprehensive online strategy and the Tourism Ireland website has become an increasingly dominant marketing tool for reaching the consumer, converting interest to bookings and the integration of Tourism Ireland’s other marketing activities with online activities is also an important aspect of her role.

Caroline has also been analysing Tourism Ireland’s CRM systems with a specific focus on maximizing Tourism Ireland data capture activities and she has explored new ways of maintaining a close relationship with Tourism Ireland’s existing client base.

Caroline’s presentation at the ANTOR eMarketing Seminar, will include a review of tourism and the internet and an exploration of some key figures and trends.  She will also be looking at how a territory or destination can be sold more effectively through the internet and the role the internet plays in the consumer “travel decision”.

Operators and NTO’s will find it beneficial to hear about the devices and tools can be employed to promote their product and destination on the internet and how to create specific strategies to target consumers.

A key issue that Caroline will also be addressing is the role the internet plays in trade marketing?

Improving the effectiveness of your website, online advertising, cross selling, up selling, personalization and how to implement and coordinate CRM activities, along with the navigation tools consumers use will also be explored, together with the place of videos and graphics on your website.

So if you want to learn about internet best practices and how they can benefit your business, The Mole suggests that you come along to hear what Caroline has to say at the ANTOR evening Seminar on eMarketing at the Westin Hotel on August 8, 2006.
