Fred. Holidays has hired Joseph Grimley as new Business Development Manager.

Following the recent appointment of Paul Mellon, Fred. Holidays’ Business Development Manager team has doubled from two to four in the space of a couple of weeks.

Grimley has spent the last couple of years away from the travel industry.

His last industry role was with Scenic Group where he was Director of Sales, leading the trade sales function with a focus on strategy, marketing, commercials and sales.

Prior to that, he held various sales roles with Riviera Travel, Page & Moy Travel Group.

In his new role, which begins on 12 February 2024, Grimley’s key focus will be on supporting the company’s strategic growth and GSA partners including Amadeus River Cruises.

He will also work closely with the Business Development Team to optimise new business opportunities through active accounts, expand distribution reach and increase brand awareness.

He reports to Laura Wilson, Fred. Holidays’ Head of Business Development.

Tricia Birmingham, Fred. Holidays’ Director of Tour operations, said: “We are delighted to welcome Joseph who has over 35 years’ experience in many specific sectors of the travel industry, most notably cruise and river.”
