Geneva International Airport has partnered with travel technology specialist Smartvel to introduce Explore&Go, a new digital platform designed to enhance the passenger experience and strengthen the airport’s role in the travel planning journey.
The new solution integrates destination content, route discovery tools and live fare information across Geneva Airport’s digital channels, allowing travelers to search destinations, explore available routes and access real-time pricing directly from the airport’s website.
The initiative reflects a wider shift in the airport sector, with airports increasingly seeking to become digital travel platforms rather than simply transportation hubs.
Powered by Smartvel technology, Explore&Go combines inspirational travel content with booking-intent data, helping travelers discover destinations based on interests, themes, seasonality and route availability. Users can also view up-to-date pricing information and connectivity options.
The platform is designed to boost passenger engagement, keep travelers within the airport’s digital ecosystem and strengthen relationships with airlines through more personalized travel discovery.
“Airports are increasingly looking to become smarter digital travel platforms rather than simply operational hubs,” said Iñigo Valenzuela, CEO of Smartvel.
“Travelers today expect inspiration, real-time information and seamless planning experiences in a single environment. With Explore&Go, Geneva Airport is creating a more engaging and connected digital experience that helps passengers discover routes and destinations more intuitively.”
Gary Lenzoni, Web Manager at Genève Aéroport, said the airport aims to provide travelers with a richer experience from the earliest stages of trip planning.
“By partnering with Smartvel and implementing Explore&Go, we can offer travelers more dynamic destination discovery tools, route visibility and pricing information directly through our channels,” he said.
Explore&Go enables airports and travel brands to combine destination-focused content with live operational and commercial data, helping bridge the gap between travel inspiration and booking intent.
The partnership underscores the broader digital transformation taking place across the airport industry, as airports invest in technologies that deepen passenger relationships and turn airport websites into active travel planning platforms.
Smartvel continues to expand globally through partnerships with airports, airlines, tourism boards and travel companies focused on traveler information and engagement technologies.
