Tour and activities operator Gray Line has partnered with TripAdmit to power digital tipping for tour guides.
The collaboration will introduce the TipDirect digital tipping service as well as an AI review collection platform for Gray Line’s global network of activity providers and guides.
TipDirect is a first-to-market solution by TripAdmit, which is designed to streamline the tipping process and the collection of guest reviews.
it enables guests to tip their guide directly and post a review from their mobile devices at the end of the tour.
It enables guides to receive instant payments and valuable feedback.
The platform includes a guide app, NFC tipping cards, QR codes, and direct links, designed to allow guests to leave tips and reviews.
Its flexibility lets guests choose the most convenient method for them.
A main standout feature of TipDirect is its AI-assisted review capability.
Leveraging Open AI’s ChatGPT, guests can write their reviews independently or with some AI assistance.
Griffin Hanbury, CEO of Gray Line Worldwide, said: “TripAdmit’s AI assisted review collection has already proven itself in gathering an unparalleled volume of reviews.”
“This solution will provide a consistent approach to review collection across our global group, helping us enhance our services and reputation.”
TipDirect also has other benefits.
The platform includes features for tour upselling, allowing activity providers to promote additional tours to boost sales.
The TipDirect social connect feature enhances social media presence by engaging with guests who have already shown interest in the services.
There is also a team tip-sharing capability to facilitate tipping for guides, drivers, or teams, allowing tips to be shared automatically.
John Maguire, CEO of TripAdmit, added: “TipDirect has been developed for tour guides and their teams to provide customers with a convenient and safe way to tip and leave a review.”
“Cashless tipping could not be easier and with the app, guides can track all earnings and recent transactions in an easy-to-understand format.”
