Greater Fort Lauderdale launches ‘Hello Sunny TV’

Saturday, 06 Dec, 2016 0
In a first for the destination marketing industry Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau has launched its own digital TV network.

Called ‘Hello Sunny TV,’ it aired footage from the Riptide Music Festival on Fort Lauderdale beach at the weekend and will broadcast a live weekly show from early 2017.

In addition to live streaming webcams of the area’s beaches throughout the day, it also offers on-demand programming about Greater Fort Lauderdale tourism in a variety of languages including Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese.

Programming categories include dining, family fun, nature, festivals, LGBTQ, nightlife, tours and excursions.

"Being the first destination to launch an entire network of activity, not just a channel, is an indication of our confidence, and investment, in our community as the best brand ambassadors to communicate Greater Fort Lauderdale’s unique appeal," said Fort Lauderdale CVB CEO Stacy Ritter.

It is supported by a new multi-medium advertising campaign along with a public relations, social media and influencer program to showcase Fort Lauderdale’s attractions like food, fashion, arts, events, nightlife and entertainment.

Hello Sunny TV is available on desktop and mobile devices.

It will also be rolled out to smart TVs and streaming media players soon.

Hello Sunny TV live broadcasts will also be streamed on the CVB’s Facebook page.
