The Hilton brand is making a long awaited return to the Las Vegas Strip.

It will manage three hotels in a multi-brand deal signed with Resorts World Las Vegas.

Resorts World has chosen Hilton for its three hotels which will be run under the Hilton Hotels & Resorts, LXR and Conrad brands.

Combined they will have a total of 3,500 rooms.

The $4.3 billion Resorts World integrated resort is still in development.

As well as a trio of hotels, it features a 5,000-seat theater, 350,000 square feet of meeting space seven pools, a spa and fitness center.

"We decided we wanted to have a partner that is a leader in global hospitality, and Hilton is probably the best at it. They had the history of really starting what Las Vegas is today with the Las Vegas Hilton," said Resorts World COO Scott Sibella.

The Las Vegas Hilton was at one time the largest hotel in the world.

Hilton operated it from the 1970s until 2012 when its management contract expired.

Elvis Presley had a penthouse there and performed nightly at the hotel.

Another Hilton brand Waldorf Astoria opened in Las Vegas two years ago after a rebrand of the old Mandarin Oriental.

"Las Vegas is very important as a key market in the world and certainly for our Honors members it’s a very important destination for them," said Greg Hartmann, Hilton SVP of full service, luxury and lifestyle development.
