Homeworkers to capitalise on rise in cruise bookings
Travel Counsellors has given agents new sales tools to capitalise on a 10% rise in cruise bookings.
The homeworking group has launched new e-learning cruise modules, a customer cruise brochure and a dedicated cruise TCTV special.
Managing director Steve Byrne said: "As demand for cruising holidays continues to grow it is our priority to provide our Travel Counsellors with the tools and skills they need to further set themselves apart from the competition.
"With a 10% increase in cruise bookings for 2013 so far it’s evident that cruising is a profitable and popular market. In fact, out of our 20 top selling TCs, three of these are cruise specialists. "
The modules will offer training on various cruise booking engines and will also be used as a platform to build up each agent’s product knowledge.
Byrne added: "We’ve also seen a surge in popularity for tailor-made cruise itineraries with customers requesting more complex itineraries which incorporate cruises.
"Our in-house commercial team can work directly with suppliers to make these bespoke itineraries possible. This enables our agents to be ahead of the market and to be able to meet the changing needs of their customers."
