Hotel guests can wake up to Christie or buy bedding
At the Hyatt, guests can wake up to the voice of supermodel Christie Brinkley. At Hampton, you can now buy the sheets.
And pillow cases. And mattress and box springs.
In the highly competitive hotel world, these are among the latest new offerings to entice more guests.
“No, you’re not dreaming,” says the Hyatt wakeup call. “You can tell your friends you were woken up by Christie Brinkley and you won’t be lying.”
The model also offers inspirational advice for the day and reminds guests that a hot breakfast and perhaps the gym await them.
Hyatt says the “sweet nothing” greeting is now available to all guests 24 hours a day.
Hampton says demand for its begging package has been so strong it is offering parts or all of it for sale. It will be available by the end of the year.
“You know you have a hit on your hands when a guest calls asking to purchase the exact bed they have slept in at your hotel,” said Phil Cordell, senior vice president, Hampton.
He said since the 1,350 Hampton hotels started the new bedding the “phones have been ringing off the hook.”
Hampton may not have Christie butt hey claim their alarm clock-radio is the easiest to use in the industry.
