Dragon Trail, in partnership with the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI), and ChinaTravelTrends.com launches the first of their “CHINAeCONNECT Seminar Series” with the “First China Online Travel and Social Media Boot Camp”, focused to help international travel organizations grasp the opportunity to market to the China Travel Market, as well as Chinese travel organizations to compete in a global market place.

The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) and Dragon Trail would like to invite hotels and hotel companies, tourist boards, airlines, cruise lines, and other travel organizations to attend the first China Online Travel and Social Media Boot Camp to be held on Monday, 17 August 2009, from 2 to 5pm at Hotel G Beijing with details at the below website:

The event (value RMB 3,500) is free of charge for invited travel companies, but only limited space is available due to the uniqueness of the venue.

The agenda for the event is as follows:

A) Overview of Social Media and Global Online Trends

B) China Outbound Tourism Overview and China Internet Landscape

C) China Online Marketing and Social Media Case Studies – the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

D) Influencer Marketing Case Studies – How have companies and tourist boards leveraged Bloggers

E) Leveraging Technology to create engagement and conversion – making sense of all the tools

F) The Steps to develop and execute a Social Media Strategy – it is not just about Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr

G) Sneak Preview: First China Travel Trends Survey on how tourist boards and hotel companies market to China online

As a participant in the boot camp, you are invited to attend the cocktail reception following the afternoon’s events.  We will take the opportunity of the reception to ask Jens Thraenhart, a HSMAI Global Board of Director and new co-char of the HSMAI China Chapter, to make an Introduction to HSMAI (Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International) and kick off the process of establishing a China (Beijing) Chapter for HSMAI.

The Cocktail Reception, sponsored by Hotel G Beijing, is free to all Boot Camp attendees, current HSMAI members, as well as sales and marketing executives that would like to get involved with the new HSMAI China (Beijing) Chapter.
