Iberia reveals first Iberia Plus flights
IAG’s Spain based airline Iberia has unveiled its inaugural Iberia Plus flights.
It is Iberia’s version of Avios only flights which British Airways has been operating for some time.
It is an initiative for Iberia Plus customers, who will be able to book their plane tickets by redeeming Avios points.
For the first two special flights, the airline chose the Greek island of Santorini and the Sicilian city of Catania.
Iberia Plus customers will be able to book their tickets for the Catania flight from 2,100 Avios + €73.80 one way and a maximum of 8,250 Avios + €23.80.
For Santorini, the minimum is 2,750 Avios + €83.80 up to 11,000 Avios + €23.80.
The Madrid-Santorini flight departs on 7 July, with the return segment on 14 July.
The Madrid-Catania flight is on 27 July, returning on 3 August.
The Iberia Plus programme rewards its best customers with flights and other exclusive perks.
The programme has more than 10 million cardholders and offers six card levels: Classic, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Infinita, and Infinita Prime.
The Iberia Plus Kids scheme is aimed at children aged between two and 11.
Members of the loyalty programme earn Avios when they purchase flights on partner airlines, as well as with stays at international hotel chains, car rentals, refuelling, and other purchases.
There are more than one hundred Iberia partners.
Avios can be redeemed for flights, hotel stays, car rentals, and other travel experiences.
